Recorded Nov 6th, 2015 in New Orleans
In early November 2015 members of Fiddle Pie converged in New Orleans from Elkins, Nashville, Toronto and Dunedin. They arrived with no transportation, accommodations, or recording studio arrangement. Through the generosity of Jonny Kashner, Bradley Kennedy, and Al Tharp miracles happened and a record was made. Sweltering in deep southern fall, 5 bodies slept in a 10’x10’ room, survived on poboys and beans, and recorded after having only played all together for 2 days. The micro-budget, time crunch, low expectations, and Al’s expertise aided the creation of an album that is energetic, eclectic, and surprisingly top quality. We are super satisfied & hope you are too. Special thanks to Lisa Elmaleh, Jon, Bradley, Al, Mom, Dad, all our kickstarter backers, and Gene’s Hot Sausage.
